Chinamatira Jonasi Nyambira & Tambanewenyu (often referred to as CJNT) is a Zimbabwean legal practice built around partner-led service, strong links to the Midlands, and a broad mix of court and transactional work.
Who we are
The firm takes its name from its partners and trades as CJNT. We work with individuals, families, employers, and businesses who need clear advice and determined representation in Zimbabwe's legal system.
Our lawyers combine courtroom and advisory experience with ongoing ties to legal education and professional development in the region.
Where we practise
The practice is rooted in Kwekwe (including the Newtown area) in the Midlands Province, with professional networks across Zimbabwe—including Harare—reflecting where our partners have trained and practised over the years.
Our Kwekwe office
Located in the heart of Kwekwe, our main office serves as the headquarters for CJNT Legal. This office handles all practice areas and serves clients throughout the Midlands region. Our team of experienced attorneys is dedicated to providing exceptional legal services to individuals, businesses, and organizations in Kwekwe and surrounding areas.

Lucky Jonasi
Founding partner, registered legal practitioner, conveyancer and notary public. Based in Newtown, Kwekwe. Also a law lecturer at Midlands State University, with prior experience in Harare firms and in-house legal and compliance roles. Postgraduate qualifications include LLMs in commercial and corporate law.
Takunda Nyambira
Partner with the firm from early 2024.
Kudakwashe Tambanewenyu
Partner of the CJNT practice, with a public focus on corporate, criminal, labour, and family law from the Midlands (Kwekwe) base.
